About

About Us

The doctors at Rehabilitation Care Group have decades of experience treating substance abuse disorders in Central Ohio. Their goal is to have every patient receive customized care from an experienced and compassionate physician.

Our doctors recognize that inpatient rehabilitation works for some patients, but believe that outpatient therapy provides the best long-term success. Opioid addiction dramatically changes the chemistry of a patient's brain, and this change cannot be fixed in one to three months. The goal of the Rehabilitation Care Group program is to provide long-term care for patients while helping them return to their jobs and families. Patients receive first-class care on their schedule so that they can get back to their normal lives.

Specializing in Substance Abuse Treatment

Every patient treated at Rehabilitation Care Group is given an individual treatment plan that addresses the 3 Cs – control, craving and continued use. Our individual treatment plans combine office visits with your physician, group and individual counseling sessions, recovery assessment, and laboratory services to ensure your recovery is managed at every level. Our goal is to help every patient treat the underlying issues contributing to their addiction  and help the patient regain their normal life.

Buprenorphine (Suboxone) Treatment
Vivitrol Therapy

The most common medical treatment for opioid addiction is Suboxone and other buprenorphine products (i.e., Zubsolv, Bunavail, generic Suboxone). These medications work by blocking other opioids from attaching to receptors in the brain, thus eliminating withdrawal symptoms and cravings. It was the first opioid medication approved for the treatment of opioid dependence in a private office setting.

Alcohol Abuse Therapy

Alcohol addiction can be treated in many ways. Some patients only need counseling or therapy, but others benefit from medically assisted therapy. Currently, the most effective treatment for alcohol addiction is long-acting naltrexone, also known as Vivitrol. This medication is taken once a month as an intramuscular injection.

Vivitrol is a medicine used to treat both opioid and alcohol dependency. Vivitrol is a dose of long-acting naltrexone that blocks the opioid receptors in the brain. Vivitrol is administered in an injection every month at the patient's doctor appointment. With Vivitrol therapy, the patient does not have to worry about visits t ot the pharmacy or remembering to take their medicine.

Counseling

Counseling is a vital part of addiction therapy. The medication your doctor prescribes will help with the physical symptoms and cravings associated with addiction. Counseling addresses the underlying factors that led to your addiction and helps you develop coping mechanisms to avoid relapse.
